Are Australia’s wilderness areas ‘unnatural’? A 200-year-old white settlers creation? This fabulous video from The Global Mail (Part 1 of 3) from Ellen Fanning’s interview with historian Bill Gammage explodes that wilderness myth with “Why Aborigines were Australia’s Original Landscape Gardeners“. Gammage’s book The Biggest Estate on Earth: How Aborigines Made Australia recently won the Prime Minister’s 2012 Literary Award for Australian History.
