Cast your vote in the NSW Premier’s People’s Choice Awards for Landscape Architecture. See all 6 finalists and vote at smh.com.au. My favourite is the Angel Pl project by ASPECT Studios, which has turned a dark, dingy alley into a vibrant public space with fun hanging birdcages, & paving which carries a reinterpretation of the now underground Tank Stream.
Other finalists include:
– children’s playgrounds at Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo; Lizard Log at Western Sydney Parklands; Blaxland Riverside Park at Homebush
– a revitalisation of the Audley Weir precinct which restores historic vistas and breezeways
– ‘Walk the Line’ a Sydney city pavement marking project by Hassell Ltd which created a fun and different way to explore the city’s streets and transport hubs.
