Another one bites the dust – Garden Design, a high-end magazine published by Bonnier Corp, will close down after its April 2013 issue.
Published 7 times a year, the magazine has failed to stay economically viable, as print magazine advertising revenue has shrunk rapidly during the past decade.
“The economic climate, compounded by the significant industry transition to digital, have limited the growth in advertising needed to make this brand viable for our future,” the company said, in a statement.
While I’m (obviously) a champion of online gardening information, this is areal shame. It’s a high quality magazine.
