Travelling north I passed through Grafton, NSW, where the Jacaranda Festival in full swing. The trees are splendidly jacaranda blue, except for one avenue of white jacarandas… 
There are events galore with a contest for the best shop window display and the crowning of Jacaranda Queen. Residents get right into the spirit of things, all wearing something jacaranda colour and the tree-lined streets are spectacular!
