A house in Teddington in South-West London has gone on the market with an asking price of £650,000. Nothing remarkable about that – except for the 2 bodies buried in the garden.
The house was formerly owned by a couple who both chose to be buried in their back garden, with the woman of the house buried 2 years ago and her husband last February.
The UK does not have any regulations that prevent garden internment, other than that bodies must be buried deeply enough that dogs and foxes cannot dig them up, be at least 100ft from any running or standing water and that a record is kept of the burial location.
