Sheffield, UK has announced it will host ‘Garden Up‘, a new ‘design-led’ garden show on June 7-8, 2014.

The show, to be held in the Sheffield Botanical Gardens, will have three specific areas – ‘Innovations Zone’, ‘The Marketplace’, and ‘The Landing Zone’ for parents and children.

Sheffield University has one of the UK’s biggest landscape departments, so there will be plenty of local talent to develop designer show gardens. The show’s main sponsor is Investec Wealth & Investment, a longtime supporter of the National Garden Scheme.

Show convenor Richard Nicolle says:

“The Garden Up show gardens will involve the work of some of the top horticulturists and designers from around the country including ones that have previously exhibited at the Chelsea and Tatton Flower Shows.”

Phil Hirst, a gold medal winner at Tatton Park, has already signed up for a show garden that supports the National Garden Scheme.
