Weird, Wild, & Wonderful is a new exhibition just opened at the New York Botanical Gardens, featuring strange, mysterious and downright freakish plants.
Over 240 exhibits in a wide rage of media were submitted from around the world, with the exhibitors curating panel selecting just 46 to display in the Ross Gallery from April 19 to September 21, 2014.
Some of the exhibits feature plants with which you’ll be familiar like a strangely distorted tomato or the intricate beauty of a shield fern, but others, such as the ‘Dog turd fungus with pill bug (Pisolithus tinctorius & Armadillidium vulgare)’ is likely to be a new discovery.
