How do you store your shallots/green onions/scallions? I’ve always let mine wilt away in the fridge – until I saw this comparison experiment from my niece. (Thanks Karina!). Looks like putting them in a glass of water on the bench top beats fridge storage…
I always store mine in the vegetable garden! When I have none in the garden and have to buy a bunch – I put the ones I need that day in the crisper and plant the remaining ones out in the garden. Then whenever I need them I just harvest on the day I need them.
