Brendan Moar has been a poster boy of Australian landscape design since his TV series ‘Dry Spell Gardening‘. But he’s a lot more than that – this poster has serious talent.
Brendan’s resumé is a little crowded – winner of Best in Show at last year’s inaugural Australian Garden Show Sydney, photographer, book author of Grounded and Green, TV presenter on The Renovators and the new Australian series of Coast, MC, presenting coach, and even a musical theatre actor who trod the boards in the stage version of Beauty and the Beast.
But what, who and where is he now? Over a lunch of chicken and avocado wraps, and attended closely by two lovely dogs and a 3-legged cat, Brendan talks about his business, personal branding and even a few fears, and then elaborates on his ideas about good landscape design.
He also reveals the inspiration and finer points behind the garden he’s designed for the upcoming Singapore Garden Festival (August 16-25 at Gardens By the Bay).

Great interview Cath. I really enjoyed hearing Brendan chat and discuss his approach to designing and working with clients. Your questions, and his responses, were refreshing to hear. He is a man with many talents and accolades and yet he was quite happy to share himself openly. That only comes when someone has confidence in their own abilities. Well done Cath and Brendan.
I too enjoyed the interview, thank you for sharing.
