Australia Quarantine Warning – watermelon seeds contaminated with cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) have got into Australia, with several melon farms in the Northern Territory confirmed as having the virus. CGMMV is widespread around the world and is a very serious disease in the curcurbit family. It is suspected that the virus is seed borne but it’s not yet known how the seeds came in or how many there are.
