The seed-breeding Dutch individuals and families who make it into the top 500 in wealth are: De Ruiter family (10th) who sold their seed business to Monsanto 6 years ago; the Beensterboer family (38th); Piet Mazereeuw of Enza Zaden (68th); Anton van Doornmalen (182nd); Ben Tax (187th); Maarten Zwaan of Rijk Zwaan (191st), Annie and Margriet Beekenkamp (277th) and Peter and Paul Koppert (482nd).
