Kuroki phlox flower gardenMr Kuroki wanted to comfort his wife who had become blind. So he planted her a flower garden with such sweet scent it drew her outside again. And now they share it with thousands of others.

Fields of moss phlox, (Phlox subulata) turn the field around the Kuroki’s farmhouse in Miyazaki, Japan, a vivid pink each spring.

Another example of the healing power of gardens….someone to love and a garden to enjoy is there anything better life?

Yes I’m sure it was healing for both of them. If only more people did as Mr Kuroki, and turned their frustrations into gardens!
