Mr Kuroki wanted to comfort his wife who had become blind. So he planted her a flower garden with such sweet scent it drew her outside again. And now they share it with thousands of others.
Fields of moss phlox, (Phlox subulata) turn the field around the Kuroki’s farmhouse in Miyazaki, Japan, a vivid pink each spring.
