Solenostemon Campfire has been voted RHS favourite summer bedding plant by visitors to RHS Garden Wisley.
Solenostemon scutellarioides Campfire (‘Uf12823’) performed well right through the summer and was chosen by garden visitors out of the 80 different plants on show. It has a blood-orange leaf and was bred by the Ball Horticultural Company.
The runners up were two petunias – Petunia Cascadias Rim Fantasy (Cascadias Series) which has violet flowers edged with white, and Petunia Amore’ Queen of Hearts (Amore’ Series), featuring heart-shaped dark pink petals each with a yellow stripe.
