Neil is a Fellow and a past National President of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, (AILA), 2007-2009, and has been a board member of AILA since 2003. He is a member of the Gallery of Australian Design Governing Council. He is a principal (with Karina Harris) of a landscape architecture practice based in the Canberra Australia. They have won numerous local and national AILA awards for Design, Planning and Landscape Management. In 2006 their private garden was in the inaugural ‘Der Beste Garten’ a residential garden design competition in Vienna, Austria. His practice has undertaken design festivals/expos in Ireland, in 2007, and China in 2013.
