Ever wondered why many plants die under trees that koalas inhabit? Apparently the male koala urine is very high in gluconuric acid. This may account for a significant loss of certain plants beneath the canopy of preferred trees. Indigenous grasses seem to fare the best in such conditions – Alison Aplin
