The Australian Garden History Society & Uni WA Faculty of Architecture, Landscape & Visual Arts is hosting a Tree Forum in Perth on May 10, 2013.
Master of Ceremonies Richard Offen of Heritage Perth will introduce speakers including Winthrop Professor Steven Hopper, Dr Greg Moore, Dr Paul Barber, Craig Burton and Stuart Read, covering topics such as:
– South WA as a biodiversity hotspot
– valuing and maintaining an urban forest
– a history of public tree planting
– tree conservation and memorial avenues
– trees as markers in cultural landscapes
