The EcoPillow
EcoPillow is named finalist in the Australia World Environment Day Awards 2013. The EcoPillow is a pre-grown living roof designed by Mark Paul, Australia’s own greenwall guru and founder of The Greenwall Company (and GardenDrum blogger).
The modular product came about because of a market need to use Australian landfill in an innovative way. It is a pre-grown living roof that offers all the proven benefits of a green roof, while radically reducing risk and cost of the roofing structure, due to its module structure and lightweight nature. EcoPillows are not only made of 94% recycled materials, but can also be recycled themselves and moved to other roofs.
The EcoPillow was also awarded The Sydney Design Award for Housing and Building in 2012.
