The Queensland Garden Expo 2013 was its usual colourful self over the weekend, packed with locals looking for great subtropical plants. There were a some new plant releases on view as well as several new garden products. If you didn’t get to go, enjoy this leisurely cyber stroll around the designer landscape gardens and nursery displays.
I loved the display of staghorn ferns that looked like trophy heads, i spy design’s ingenious seat cover for those old milk crate seats, Waterscapes (as always) brilliant display garden (oh I want that small stone water feature in my front garden), the vibrant orange back wall and lush planting in the E-scapes garden, and those quirk leadlight fenceposts from Tuchekoi Tubs.
I’m not quite so sure about the black selaginella fern but it is a novelty!

love the red geraniums ! Such an unusual and striking way to present them in a gardening show.
It did work well with the white. That was the variety “Big Red”
