The Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM) has announced its 2013 design awards, with the main prize going to Secret Gardens of Sydney.
The winning landscape design by Matt Cantwell and Robert Finnie transformed a rickety set of stairs by which the owners accessed their steep waterside garden, into cascading decks, lawn and paving, creating appealing and usable spaces while preserving the unique character of the site. Secret Gardens of Sydney won the Allan Correy award for Design Excellence 2013.
