New in Australia is the Celebrity Garden School, with its first event later this month featuring garden2kitchen’s Phil Dudman and Julie Ray, native plant expert Angus Stewart and brilliant warm-climate gardener Annette McFarlane.
There’s nothing like spending some quality time with a gardening expert. You always learn something new and you get to nut out those niggling little problems that you’ve been unsure about. That’s what the new Celebrity Garden School is all about. It’s a chance to spend a day or two with a handful of Australia’s leading gardening personalities as they present their chosen topic, update you with the latest gardening ideas and techniques as well as solve your gardening problems.
‘It’s very different to gardening TV or radio’, says event organiser Phil Dudman. ‘At the Celebrity Garden School, you’ve got some of the country’s best gardening personalities right there in the flesh. These are live interactive sessions where you get to direct some of the traffic. There’s an element of surprise in these lives shows too – you never know what interesting topics might pop up for discussion – and there are plenty of opportunities to continue discussions when you mingle with presenters during lunch or morning tea. You’re always guaranteed to learn something new while enjoying the fun and entertainment of the show.’
Every show offers a fresh line-up of local and interstate presenters and the organisers plan to take it on the road to capital cities and major regional centres across Australia. To check out the next show near you, visit the website or facebook page.
The next Celebrity Garden School event takes place in Brisbane on Oct 30, 2013 at the Brisbane Golf Club Yeerongpilly. Bookings are essential. Click HERE to book and for more information.
