Men of The Trees at St Barbe Grove in Hazelmere in Perth, Western Australia are planning something huge, attempting a world record on 25 July 2014, by planting 100,000 plants in 1 hour at Whiteman Park. And if you’re in Perth, they need your help.
Men of Trees are looking for volunteers to help tend the 100,000 seedlings in cell trays onsite ready for the planting event in July. If you can assist, contact Paula Galvin.
Men of the Trees in Western Australia is a not-for-profit, Incorporated Association, founded in 1979. Since that time it has planted more than 13 million seedlings to prevent the spread of deserts, erosion and salinity. Members, sponsors, donors, community and corporate volunteers have been part of making a difference in Western Australia.
