Have you ever wanted to explore the unique Australian landscapes of Kakadu, Nitmiluk and Litchfield National Parks in the Northern Territory? Now you can with Landcare – and help stop species extinction at the same time.
The Landcare ‘I Love This Land – Kakadu Challenge‘ needs those who love Australia and its unique animals and plants to be part of its Top End camping trek in July 2016 and help fundraise to save endangered and threatened species.
You’ll need $770 to register, and then fundraise $3,500 to be a part of the group. Your travel expenses are an additional $3,190, which you can also cover with fundraising. (Participants must be over 16)
Spend your days trekking the outback and swimming in pristine waterholes while experiencing the timelessness of Indigenous culture and its connection to the land. As the sun sinks into the red horizon, you will relax under a canopy of stars, falling asleep to the nocturnal sounds of local wildlife…..
