Brisbane International Garden Show this week!

October 6, 2015

Eden Design Festival 2015 copyThings are hotting up in Brisbane this week for the Brisbane International Garden Show, with 7 exciting show gardens under construction ready for the grand opening this Thursday 8 October. Have a sneak preview of what’s in store!

The Landscape Show Garden Competition is a highlight of any Garden Show.

This year 6 show gardens and 1 student garden will compete for the coveted medals. Eden Design, Horticultural Training, Landscapes Brisbane, Lifestyle Landscaping, SJ Landscapes and Marian Long Landscape Architecture, Waterscapes Australia and TAFE Brisbane Student Entry have been constructing their gardens since Wednesday and will soon be adding the finishing touches.

There will be gardens devoted to orange (the happiest colour!); exploring what it’s like to be shipwrecked; and examining an interesting relationship between a man-made glasshouse and the iconic Glasshouse Mountains. Waterscapes Australia has long been a favourite each July at the Queensland Garden Expo for its beautiful and meticulously-built water features.
