The New Zealand Flower & Garden Show has been postponed until 2017.
The New Zealand Flower & Garden Show originally scheduled for November 2016 in Auckland has been moved back 12 months. The inaugural event will now be held on 22-26 November 2017 .
The leadership team made the decision to postpone the event to allow time for the necessary consent applications to be dealt with. The Flower & Garden Show is a new and unique event to be held at Okahu Bay and Bastion Point, historical areas of Auckland, and there is a duty of care required in using the planned exhibition space provided by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.
The Show aims to be an exciting gardening and cultural event, and a big drawcard for the city, and although the organisers were reluctant to postpone the event they want to get it right and work towards the best possible infrastructure to support the Show.
