Over 8 years in the making, Pha Tad Ke Botanical Garden was the brainchild of European expat Rik Gadella and has, during its build, brought many new horticulture, botanical, construction, and management skills and also business opportunities to Laotian locals.

Featuring lotus-filled ponds, medicinal plant gardens , bamboo collections and forested hill walk, the garden hopes to attract many garden-loving tourists to tiny, land-locked Laos.
