Carrot surprise! Canadian woman finds a long-lost diamond ring in the vegie garden.
Mary Grams, 84 of Alberta, lost her diamond ring while weeding on the family farm in 2004. This week her daughter-in-law discovered the ring after she’d pulled some carrots from the garden for dinner. While washing them she noticed one was a bit lumpy and soon realised why – imagine the astonishment.
Mary had kept the lost ring incident a secret, except from her son who now lives on the family farm with his wife. When she found the ring which the carrot had grown through, he knew who it must belong to and called his mother straight away.
