Ever wanted to see behind the garden doors of Number 10 Downing Street? Well now there’s a chance. The garden will open as part of the Open Garden Squares Weekend on 9-10 June 2018. The entrance is via a public ballot.
Two exclusive garden tours will operate on Sunday June 10 with only 24 places available on each. These places will be allocated by public ballot. The ballot will close on Tuesday May 1 2018 at 5pm. Find out more here: http://opensquares.org/2018/activities/downinginfo.php
The garden at No. 10 Downing Street has been enjoyed by Prime Ministers and their families for more than 285 years. Features include an open lawn, central flower bed and a small vegetable patch that produces radishes, spring onions, tomatoes and lettuce.
Open Garden Squares Weekend is organised by the London Parks and Gardens Trust, which aims to increase knowledge and appreciation of parks, squares and community gardens.
