Kentish Garden Club GardenFEST

Open garden trail in the Sheffield area

On the weekend of November 28 – 29, 2020, six private local gardens will be open in the Sheffield area (Sheffield, Barrington, Melrose and Nook). The open garden weekend is being organised by the Kentish Garden Club to celebrate spring.

The six gardens are open between 10:00am – 4:00pm over the last weekend in November and include a small town garden packed with plant treasures, a large rose garden, a woodland garden with cottage plants, a large garden featuring natives, perennials and heritage roses, and two large country properties with productive gardens. An additional large garden and olive grove at Acacia Hills is open on Sunday only. Several of the gardens will have stalls with plant and craft for sale.

Tickets cost just $10, which covers entry to all gardens all weekend. The gardens can be visited in any order. Tickets and a garden map are available at the new Epicurean Café, 72 Main Street, Sheffield over the open weekend.

The Club is also raffling a handmade quilt, which will be on display at the GardenFEST ticket stand in Sheffield. The quilt is in the Hidcote pattern and was made over 10 years by Jane Westren. Jane has donated the quilt to the Club. The raffle will be drawn in December. Raffle tickets are three for $5.
